1919 to WWII > Army Airship Pilots

The Airship Pilot Badge was never called a wing officially and only a three and 1/4  inch size was ever authorized. Yet many manufacturers had slightly different designs of this wing. The original designer was Jacob Speiht. Here is a list of some of the manufacrurers of these wings. Why so many, maybe becuase of the beautiful design. They could nto have sold many with only 150 pilots.

W. C. Link - made the first one.

Kinney Co.

N. S. Meyer - Also made unofficial 2 inch shirt size and 1 3/8 hat size.
