Never had our nation banded together in one fight the way it did in World War II. It was very common to see people wearing son in service pins. But those without family member in the service wanted to show their support. Many of them wore Victory pins and they came in all kinds of shape and sizes. Manufacturers made them in thousands of designs. Many people waiting for a short burst of morse code that would be repeated and repeated, just one letter V. Dot, Dot, Dot, Dash.
