Today the press is ID by wearing a bulletproof vest and the word PRESS across the front and back. But in WWII most wore uniforms just as the GI’s, they were our press and wrote home about our solders. On the uniforms they wore on the shoulder instead of a unit patch a simple badge “US War Correspondent.” This is a museum quality reproduction of one of those badges but rather unusual in that it says “US WAR Correspondent” and it is accurately reproduced in brass. Let's not forget many countries were involved and the press would write home to all those other countries of the world. This badge is 2 inches wide by 1 1/4 tall.
