This is museum quality reproduction of an extremely rare WWII Navy Pilots Wing in Sterling Silver with a 24 k Gold Plate. These unofficial wings were worn by the pilots of the Boeing 314 Clipper aircraft. Only six of these aircraft were used by the Navy. The result very few of these wings. . A picture is shown in US navy Wings of Gold on page 75. The wing is a Vanguard designed wing with a small Clipper over the shield. While not an original here is a chance to get one of these unusual wings in sterling silver at a reasonable price.
