In World War II a Service Pilot who was a civilian pilot who joined the military and then flew transports, liaison and other non combat aircraft outside the areas of operations. The wing was established on Sept 4,1942. This is a very well made sterling silver museum quality reproduction of these wings complete with a pin back. This is the 2 inch shirt wing, even harder to find than the 3 inch.
