In World War II the Liaison Pilot Wing was awarded to pilots who flew single engine “grasshoppers” in and out of small airstrips and in some cases dirt fields or even roads. They did what today we would expect from helicopters. The wing was established on Sept 4,1942. This is a very well made sterling silver museum quality reproduction in standard 3 inch size pin back of these wings with pin back. The original wing was made by AECO and has their distinctive raised hallmark on the back of the shield.
