This is a museum quality reproduction of a very rare Navy Pilots wing from Pre-WWI made in sterling silver with a 24k gold plate. Notice in the shied are stars, these were never authorized and only a few ever existed, made by jewelers after the pilots ordered them, sort of a copy of the Army Air Service wings. The Navy always had lines in the shield. This is a hat size wing for the overseas cap or to give to a sweetheart. They are 1 1/8 inches long. Next year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Naval Aviation Navy Pilot will be allow to wear wings on their overseas hats. This would be the ideal wing to wear.
