This is a museum quality reproduction of an extremely rare item in two categories. First it is the US Army Postal Express Service Officer collar pin that was issued in February 1919 of a running Greyhound. These were also worn by officers in the Courier Service in France and by couriers en route to Washington DC from the AEF. By 1920 this insignia was discontinued due to inactivation of the Postal Express Service. Thus due to the short time period it was used it is extremely rare also each Division had only one officer assigned as a Postal Express Officer.  The second category is that civilian employees iacting as Postal Agents from the US Post Office in France may have been also wearing this insignia. This pin is 1 7/8 inches wide. So if you collect military and postal items this is a must for you and if you love greyhounds here is a great pin. Here is a chance to have one until an original comes along.
