This is a museum quality reproduction of a WWI US Air Service Bombardier wing in sterling silver with the letters US in 24k gold plate.. This wing is 3 inches wide and from the construction the original was made up of three pieces solder together not uncommon in that era. This is a rather unusual wing design and the feathering looks a bit like that used by Haltom Jewelers of Ft. Worth. But I have been unable to find this wing in any of the references of wings they made. But many wings were one of a kind since they were all unofficial. Another possibly is that this is a French design as one of the French wings is almost the exact same but with a prop in the middle.
