This is a museum quality of a very rare 1930’s Bulgarian military aviator’s wings. Although almost identical to the eagle on the Austrian pilot’s badge this consists solely of a much larger open winged solid silver eagle with 21/2 inch wing spread. Exc. quality and nice detailing in the eaglehead and its wings; the center section of body and wings convex. Original hallmark, on reverse with the "800" mark indicating European Coin Silver. Very unusual original silver pin back with unique bolt-action locking latch! These wings also look very much like the French Squadron wings of WWI.
